INDIANA MEN’S BASKETBALL OFFSEASON ROSTER RENOVATION UPDATE #2

Just about a month ago + following the Conor Enright commitment, we took a stab at predicting what the final Indiana University men’s basketball squad would look like when the dust settled from the madness that accompanies the offseason…

…let’s just go ahead and chalk that one up as a swing and a miss.

Since that publication, the Hoosiers have secured a slew of national-attention-snagging signings: 6’7” SF Tucker DeVries (duh) x 6’10” C Reed Bailey (arguably Davidson’s 2nd best player of all time/IU’s next big time big man) x 6’5” SG Lamar Wilkerson (dropped a ‘quiet’ 18 at Assembly as a member of Sam Houston last December) x 6’3” PG Tayton Conerway (reigning Sun Belt POY + nation’s 3rd most SPG at 2.9 in ‘24-’25 at Troy) x 6’6” SF Jasai Miles (Third Team All-ASUNer last SZN at North Florida) x 6’2” CG Jason Drake (39.6% from triple last SZN at Drexel) x 6’7” SG Nick Dorn (connected on a healthy 35.1% of his 8.8 [!] triples tries/game last SZN at Elon) x 6’8” PF Sam Alexis (rotation semi-regular with the 2025 National Champion Florida Gators). Factor in the aforementioned 6’2” PG Enright (who will likely serve as the B1G’s best QB2 following Conerway’s arrival) x incoming freshman stallion 6’7” PF Trent Sisley (On3’s #78 ranked recruit in this year’s inbound crop of froshies) x potential/definite returning 6’7” PF Luke Goode (remember what happened with Xavier Johnson? See you again soon Mr. Goode) and it goes without saying that this team has come a LONG way from where it was just a few short weeks ago.

Right around this time a year ago, Woody was being praised as this program’s entrusted savior following what was cast by many as the NCAA’s best roster rejuvenation.

It took Darian DeVries all of a few months (where it took Woodson roughly 3 years) to land himself in the same territory of good graces amongst the fanbase When you look up and down this roster, there is not a whole lot to dislike unless you are nitpicking’. DeVries got shooters, athletes, playmakers, defenders, bigs. He has put together a nice little recipe on paper, and he still has 3 roster spots left to allocate as he makes a few finishing touches around the edges of this impressive Indiana infrastructure.

Say what you want and think what you please, but the projected shell of this team reflected below could be a force to be reckoned with. Our boy DD been doing his damn thing.
